National Tartan Day
April 6, 2009, is National Tartan Day, a North American commemoration of Scottish heritage celebrated in Canada and the USA. In the United States it is estimated that there are 6 million people of Scottish descent; whereas in Canada there are 4.7 million people of Scottish descent. Tartan Day is held on April 6, the anniversary of the date on which the Declaration of Arbroath was created in 1320. Here is a link to National Tartan Day http://www.tartanday.org/
